The leaves are typically long and lanceolate in shape, tapering to a pointed tip. The leaves are usually olive-green but may become brownish under certain conditions.

How to Care for Cryptocoryne Pontederiifolia

Once established, Cryptocoryne Pontederiifolia is hardy and will grow well in most aquariums. The plant will require moderate light and prefers nutrient-rich substrates. Cryptocoryne Pontederiifolia does not like sudden and large environmental changes, so providing stable parameters is recommended. When changes occur, the plant may experience a period of transition or melting. During this phase, older leaves may “melt” away or decay. But be patient because the plant will recover and continue to grow once it adjusts to the new environment.
