Description

Radican Marble Queen Sword (Echinodorus Cordifolius)

Radicans Marble Queen Sword, also known as Echinodorus Cordifolius, originates from North America and Mexico. It produces very attractive green leaves that are circular with lighter or darker markings (marbling), making the plant a focal point in any aquarium including in a well-planted aquarium.

Care & Maintenance

Radican Sword plant is undemanding and will grow well under varied conditions. It will grow faster and larger if provided with good lighting, substrate, and iron-based fertilizers.

  • Minimum Lighting Required: Moderate
  • Temperature Range: 71-82°F
  • Tank Placement: Midground

If you want to keep the plant short, more compacted, or tidy, remove large and older leaves occasionally by cutting them with sharp aquascaping scissors.

Radican Sword is also available potted.

    Thriving!
Posted by Lauren on 18 May 2023

My sword is doing great as the centerpiece of my tank! It has started to grow multiple new leaves, some of which have even turned a reddish color! I would definitely recommend! It is very pretty and I love the marble detail on the leaves.

I love this plant! It came quickly, is much larger than I thought it would be, and most importantly it was pest free.

Queen sword came im in great condition. Not doing well as I am a beginner. Have substrate, rooted nicely. Plants are browning, getting limp and holes are happening in leaf. What am I doing wrong? How can I be successful?

    Laying down roots
Posted by Jessica Payson on 11 Feb 2022

I’m a sucker for variegated plants… and these absolutely took off, I can see new roots under my substrate and new leaves starting to poke out. Hopefully I’ll get better marbling on the new growth.
