Please keep in mind that this background is custom made in Europe, just for you and therefore takes about 8 weeks to manufacture.
Sizing: When ordering a Standard Size, listed in drop down menu, we will cut the background 0.5" smaller in length and heigth to accomodate for thickness of the glass and to make it look better. If this does not meet your needs, please order a custom size by reaching out to us and one will be made to your exact specifications.
What is this 3D Background made of?
Our 3D backgrounds are made of a special type of expanded polystyrene, suitable for wet environments and coated with several layers of different protective materials.
Where will I put my equipment (heaters, suction pipe, etc)?
While you may keep your equipment (filter intake, heater, etc.) exposed and not hidden by the 3D background, you can choose to have one or two chambers made for concealing items like suction pipe, heater, etc.
Water enters those chambers through naturally looking cracks or a space between the glass and the background. Water outtake is to be placed over the background. The aim is to hide all that unattractive plumbing and equipment behind, but only of you choose to do so, giving you full control over the functionality of your background.
Standard dimensions of those hidden chambers are approximately 3.1in x3.1in.

My aquarium has reinforcements on top. Will I be able to put the background in?
Modern Aquarium 3D backgrounds usually consist of several pieces for a simple and easy setup.
My aquarium size is not available as an option, does that mean it will be more expensive to have it custom made?
No! Our cost is based on square footage of the 3D Background area and nothing else, so if you wish to have a custom 3D background made for you, please use our Contact Us form or call us at 813-720-8750 to provide your aquarium dimensions and we will make it for you.
Can I use this background for a Salt Water (Marine) Aquarium?
Yes, but in such case, the background must be treated with few additional protective layers. If you want to order a background for a marine aquarium, please don’t forget to mention that detail while making an order, in the comments section during checkout.
What are Bottom and Overhanging Rocks?
All our backgrounds can be accompanied by additional rocks in the same color as the background.
Bottom rocks are individually sold and need to be glued to the bottom. Overhanging rocks are placed under the reinforcements and are held by the water pressure. They don’t move, even though they don’t require gluing.
Are your 3D Backgrounds safe for my fish?
All backgrounds are 100% neutral to all environments and are completely safe.
