Description

Chain Sword Narrow Leaf

Echinodorus Tenellus, also known as Chain Sword Narrow Leaf or Pygmy Chain Sword, originates from Northern and Southern America. This plant is one of the smallest of the Echinodorus species and is an ideal carpeting plant. The plant's narrow and elongated leaves give it an appearance of grass.

Chain Sword Care & Maintenance

The plant should be provided with medium to bright lighting. Kept in good conditions and planted in good substrate, Pygmy Chain Sword will spread by runners and create a stunning lawn-like effect in the foreground of the aquarium. Planted in good substrate and provided with a fertlizer, chain sword will grow faster and thicker.

  • Minimum Lighting: Moderate
  • Temperature Range: 68-84°
  • Tank Placement: Foreground

Chain Sword Narrow looks great planted around rocks, driftwood and other aquarium decorations. Planted is small groups and allow it to spread throughout the aquarium through runners.

Chain Sword Narrow is also available potted.

I'm very happy how quick they came and how lively they looked upon arrival. Once planted both Chain Swords began propagating just 3 days in the aquarium. Definitely a great beginner plant and a great company to order them from.

I had a hard time finding anywhere selling chain sword, but found them on this site. The plants arrived safely and alive and well. They're now flourishing in my tank. No snails or anything. Beautiful plants!
