Most of the aponogeton plants prefer cool to medium temperature water that ranges between 70 °F and 80 °F. In nature, the plant’s growth period coincides with natural rainy seasons and a rest period during dry spells. In the aquarium, these plants may grow robustly for a number of months followed by periods of low to no growth. Under good conditions, the plants will resume their growth repeating the cycle.
