The “mini” growth habit makes it especially useful for creating controlled red accents that look deliberate rather than overwhelming.

This plant is best used as a midground-to-background stem grouping where you can build a dense “red patch” and shape it with trimming. It does not require CO₂ to live, but stable CO₂ can improve density, speed, and overall “tightness” of the stems—especially if you’re pushing stronger light and want a compact, premium look.

Planting tip: separate stems and plant them as a grouped stand rather than a tight bound bunch. Give each stem a little space so light and flow reach the lower leaves, then let it climb. Once the tops hit your desired height, trim with curved scissors and replant the healthiest, most colorful tips using straight tweezers.
