Baby Tears Giant (Micranthemum Umbrosom) | Cup
Baby Tears Giant, also known by its scientific name as Micranthemum Umbrosom, is a very attractive plant that produces small green leaves and is ideal for the foreground areas of the aquarium. Under good conditions, it will form an attractive dense mat and lawn-like effect in your aquarium.
Care & Maintenance for Baby Tears Giant
Baby Tears Giant is a small-leaved plant that will require good light when planted in the substrate. Regular pruning using sharp aquascaping scissors will help it tidy and more compact. Apart from good lighting, it has no other special requirements. Like most plants, Baby Tears Giant will grow faster and more compact when planted in a nutrient-rich substrate.
- Minimum Lighting Required: High
- Temperature Range: 72-86°F
- Tank Placement: Foreground and Floating
Baby Tears Giant looks best when planted in tight groups in the foreground areas of the aquarium. Using aquascaping tweezers will make the planting job much easier. However, the plant can also be used as a floating plant and as a bog plant. Planting it among the aquascaping rocks or driftwood will provide depth and accentuate your aquascaping. Baby Tears can be propagated from cuttings.
Baby Tears is also available potted.

I absolutely loved these they came in perfect timing and they were so so healthy
Plants were in great condition!
Arrived in excellent condition , my fish love it
Ordered this in november, arrived quickly in pristine condition despite cool weather. Quite densely packed into a small condiment-sized cup without media (so I probably would not let this sit too long). Not sure if this is cultured, but it was definitely snail/pest free. Planted this in both submerged and emersed setups and both are doing well. The submerged growth seems to be doing decently without CO2 so far. Overall, I am quite satisfied and would definitely recommend buying this pleasant US native from Modern Aquariums.
All of the plants that I've received have been healthy and vibrant. Once again Modern Aquarium delivers excellent quality product.
