Eleocharis Montevidensis, or commonly known as hairgrass, is found Worldwide. This plant produces thin "hair-like" leaves and forms dense carpeting clumps. The height of the plant will vary depending on the light conditions: brighter or more intense light will produce shorter plant. It is an easy to keep plant but it likes good fertilization or substrate. It should be kept clean of debris for best growth and appearance and housing corydoras catfish, in addition to regular "vacuuming," will help accomplish this task. Well-established and densely grown plants can separated and replanted which will further encourage new growth.
cool addition in my tank visually; practically...my smaller fish (pencils neon tetras) really seem to like it as well :-)
Plant came in big and beautiful.
I’ve never had this plant before, but I’m so impressed with the quality! It has such a great color and it’s sending out runners already!
