Description
Anubias Nana Petite
Anubias Nana Petite, as its name suggests, is one of the smallest of the anubias species and originates from West Africa. It is a very attractive plant, and due to its small size, ideal for foreground placement in an aquarium. It can be attached to rocks, wood, and other hard surfaces (when planting, be sure not to cover the rhizome). The plant produces small, round deep green leaves that are sturdy enough to withstand boisterous fish. When the plant is "happy" it will flower, producing white or yellowish flower stalks.
Anubia Nana Petite is also available as potted.
Care Guide for Anubias Nana Petite
Like most anubias plants, anubias nana petite is a hardy and adaptable aquarium plant that will do well in most water conditions. The plant does not require strong light. However, its growth will be more robust if provided with stronger light and the addition of liquid fertilizers. Under good conditions, Anubias Nana Petite will readily reproduce from side shoots or by dividing the rhizome.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Low
- Temperature Range: 69-86°F
- Tank Placement: Foreground
Anubias can be planted in the substrate but care must be taken not to bury the plant's rhizome. Anubias are epiphyte plants and look great when attached to rocks or wood. You can also check out our anubias grown on lava rock or driftwood.

Beautiful, tiny plant
Packaged well, arrived in pristine condition, but no lava rock included....? Floating seems to be what it likes the best! :)

Beautiful, tiny plant
It was packaged well, arrived in pristine condition. It was much smaller than expected but growing nicely so far.

Easy to grow
Easy to grow but a pain in butt to get to stay in place. It loves to float so find a way to fix it in place without burying the rhizome can be challenging.
