Maintenance of Mystery Snails for Sale
Our mystery snails may vary in size once they reach maturity. You can expect them to grow to between 1.5” and 2” by the time they are adults. There’s not much you need to do to make them happy. They will thrive in nearly all types of aquariums as long as they have a good source of food such as algae and can scavenge other foods (e.g. algae wafers). Some of the basic care requirements are listed below.
- Diet: Algae Wafers, Fresh Vegetables
- Water temperature: 72-82° F
- Tank Setup: 1+ gallons
Because these snails are so easy to care for, even beginners can enjoy them and should freely add them to their tanks. Our mystery snails for sale do really well in tanks with all sorts of fish, including small or nano fish.

Posted by Elaine on 9 Dec 2021Lovely animals - very nice selection and colors. Sadly, one had shell damage (around center and edges broken off) - he's still alive so far: fingers crossed. Very nice addition to the tanks.

I read a few other comments about some snails arriving deceased (to be expected with mailing a live animal) but all fo my snails arrived just fine! The paper they came with said it could take 2-3 days for them to comfortable enough moving around the tank but within 6 hours of placing them in my tank with my Betta they were all zooming around. Definitely would recommend!

Sleeping snails
Posted by Chad on 28 Oct 2021Three of my five mystery snails, delivered 10/21/21, are actively cleaning my 30 gallon tank. Two however, haven’t moved a bit. They don’t look dead, in my unprofessional opinion, but they haven’t budged in almost a week.

Posted by Kryss on 19 Oct 2021All snails arrived alive. Didn’t move much the first two days. Day 3 I put some green beans in and they came out to play for a bit then back in the shells for another day. Did a life check on them and two passed my ivory and one of the brown ones. The other three are way more active now still sleeping a lot but they’re pretty young they eat for a couple hours scavenge for a few hours n find a dark spot to sleep then they’re back to it I love them. 3 out of 5 isn’t bad though it would have been nice to have them all live.

Posted by Pam S on 4 Sep 2021Love these snails! I purchased three different packs for my fifty-five gallon aquarium. One pack was mixed, a Purple Albino and a Jade pack. All the snails became active the first day and are so fun to watch moving about. The only problem I have is keeping count on the herd to assure everyone is doing well! Great selection.
