Damaged plants
Posted by Skylar on 1 May 2026Overall the 12 pack is pretty great, especially if you're a beginner it let's you get plants more experienced keepers would recommend without having to go between a bunch of sites looking for them all. My only complaints are my plants arrived very dry in the little plastic bags and the jungle val i got was crushed and dying. There was no protection/cushioning in the box they where shipped in and nothing to hold moisture in the bags like when I've gotten plants from other sellers, if they had been in transit for longer they all would have arrived dead.

Not impressed
Posted by Bryson Trujillo on 13 Mar 2025I've ordered from modern aquarium before and was happy with my plants, however with this plant package I wasn't super impressed with the selection I received, all plants arrived in good condition but the variety was just meh. I did not receive 12 different plants, instead it was six plant types with two of each to make 12. Next time I'll pick plants individually to be sure I get something I'm happy with.

A mix of reds and greens with an attention to giving some large and small plants. They packaged each plant in an individual baggie with a p-touched label for easy identification. I did not see any snails or parasites, washed them with alum anyway as a precaution but all looked extremely clean. Currently planted in the tank and doing well. Thanks, will purchase more!

Not an ideal selection
Posted by Anne Simmons on 8 Sep 2022The plants arrived in pretty good shape, with only a few dried out tips and broken stems. So far I haven’t lost any and about half appear to be growing. Unfortunately many of the plants were similar—lots of long, thin, grass-like shapes. I’ve had to buy additional plants to hide the heater and vary the look.
