Description
Cardamine Lyrata
Cardamine Lyrata, commonly known as Japanese Cress or Japanese Ivy-Leaved cress, is a species of flowering plant in the family Brassicaceae. It is native to eastern Asia and is specifically found in Japan and Korea. Cardamine Lyrata has an attractive appearance, producing small, round green leaves that resemble the shape of ivy leaves. While the leaves are typically green, some leaves may exhibit purple or bronze hues.
Care Guide For Cardamine Lyrata
Cardamine Lyrata is easy to care for. It does not require strong light but, but will grow better and faster under it. Similarly, while a nutrient-rich substrate is not necessary, the plant will do better if planted in a good substrate. Alternatively, adding root tabs or liquid fertilizers will provide essential nutrients and ensure Cardamine Lyrata’s healthy growth.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Moderate
- Temperature Range: 70-82°F
- Tank Placement: Midground - Background
Under good conditions, Cardamine Lyrata can grow vigorously in the aquarium, so regular pruning may be needed to prevent overcrowding and maintain its desired shape. Trimming any yellowing or decaying leaves to promote healthier growth is recommended. Modern Aquarium’s aquascaping scissors will make this task a breeze. Since the plant can grow about 4 to 12 inches, depending on the light and other factors, it is most suitable in the midground or background areas of the aquarium.

Good size and healthy
Nice and tall plants and they're fun to look at. The lack of roots at the bottom is kind of weird when it comes to sticking them in the gravel, but it's not really an issue. packaging and shipping was all great.

Looking great
I received these last week and they look so good. There were several stems in each bunch, they arrived last Wednesday and they seem to be doing very well since being planted! I'm very happy with them.

HEALTHY AND GROWING
I love these plants. Probably one of my top 5 favorites to plant. Especially when they grow and spread (which is incredibly fast) they just make the tank look so full of life. I saw significant growth in just 14 days and bought another bunch.
