Description
Anacharis (Egeria Densa)
Anacharis, also known as Egeria Densa, is a plant native to Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. It’s one of the best-known, hardy bunch plants, and it can greatly benefit your aquarium. This plant has an incredible ability to absorb large amounts of nutrients fast and thereby minimizing algae and bacterial growth.
Anacharis plants will reinvigorate the look and feel of your tank with their small, compact, bright green leaves and stems. They are a perfect background plant for any aquarium size. They can grow up to two meters long to fully fill up the back and top of your tank. But you can keep them shorter simply by trimming the tops. Watch them create a canopy and bloom with beautiful white flowers!
Care & Maintenance
Because this plant is highly adaptable and fast-growing, it’s one of the easiest plants to keep. It matches its photosynthetic output to available light to thrive in any light conditions. Plant it directly into sand or gravel, or leave it to float.
- Minimum Lighting Required: Low
- Temperature Range: 59-90° F
- Tank Placement: Floating & Background

Anacharis
Arrived looking good, with the exception of some of the bottom parts which were brownish, but i suppose that's to be expected when shut up in a box for 3 days. They're doing great now, new growth already started. I would purchase again.
