Aponogeton Boivinianus originates from Madagascar.  It is a beautiful plant with unusual crinkled green leaves.  The leaves are bright green and sometimes may appear transparent.  Under optimum conditions, this Aponogeton species can grow up to 16 inches tall.  It can be ideal for both midground and background placement in your aquarium.  In heavily planted tanks, A. Boivinianus will grow somewhat smaller.  Its growth rate is intitially very fast but then, as the plant ages, slows down considerably.  The plant is propagated by pollination or from seeds.
